Lonely Crowd
I am all alone even in a crowd,
Feeling of loneliness slowly fills me.
No one can hear me, though I cry out loud,
This deafening silence slowly kills me.
Though I know love to me has been forsworn,
I never can bring myself to feel it.
As a heart feels when it’s stabbed with a thorn,
This pain, I think naught of ways to heal it.
I’ve come to find that love is bittersweet,
It’s delight comes and goes as it does please,
Yet without love’s trials we are incomplete.
A heart cannot thaw before it does freeze.
One day I’ll find love with which nothing compares,
Then I’ll find someone who actually cares.
