A Lonely Figure

There she stands, a lonely figure,

half bathed in light and half cast in shadow,

she is forever lonely, but never alone.

There she stands, a lonely figure,

her eyes brimmed with tears

of both hapiness and despair.

She is there, a lonely figure,

to great all, with a humble hello.

An waiting mother.

She is beautiful,she is serene,

there she stands, a lonely figure,

greeting me a lonely figure.
