Lonely Hearts

I didn’t mean to make you feel like
I didn’t care about your lonely heart.
Because I know what it’s like
To just need someone.
Sometimes it doesn’t matter who but just someone.
And I wanted someone to want me.
You helped me through that bad time.
Thank you.
You were the thing I needed right then.
I will never take you for granted.
I see the way you look at me.
I didn’t mean to hurt you.
But I know how that is too.
You’ll be okay,
I promise.
