Lonely Stars

When you miss that boy
And your nights are derived of joy
Do you ever stare at the stars
And wonder where you are?
What you are doing here
With a heart and mind so unclear
And a Destiny destroyed by work
And a chest crushed by hurt.
You relate to those twinkling lights
You are searching for a fight
You are bored and lonely
And not in love but solely
Lost in this cycle of lust
Round after round of distrust
And lies so cold and cruel
That you couldn't help but feel like a fool
So you search and search the sky
Looking for a sign that he didn't lie
That he is coming back
But you can't take it and you crack
And realize you are not a star
Because they aren't as lonely as you are.
