the loner and the bird

In the cold i was seated alone;she flew to me and by my side she was. A beauty she was, like a beast i felt, the smile she wore made the wind move slower, the twinkle in her eyes made the night seem brighter. As colourful as she was and desirable by others,by my side she stayed;how lucky was i,i felt like a king Slow in making a nest, away she flew,to be with another. How careless i was with the treasure i had. Heartbroken i became and as days passed it grew.night came and i wept. With doors wide open awaiting her return. The longer I waited, the lonelier i felt, may be it's time, time to shut the doors.
