The LONG Choice
This will probably be the longest rhyme l wrote,
Bar after bar like moonshine the words they burn my throat.
It made me choke too, while I tried to swallow my pride
and decide why at 1:45 I’m woke and can’t sleep at night.
My dreams collide one after the other,
life has me tired, tired from the struggle.
Night aware of nightmares, awoken in a cold sweat,
and entangled all up in the covers.
As I played CD, after CD of people why can’t it be me?
To grip a mic on stage, even if it’s for free.
Naz’s needs one mic but all I need is a chance to write,
I don’t have to bite into the afterlife
Or steal something from someone I didn’t like or didn’t like me.
From the eyesight of blindness I can make the seas
Rest in the conquest of holiness so I can cross the “T”,
dot the “I” or double the”G” to make sure its ok.
My name on the line that will be signed
With the proper R. A tale of a rising
Guiding star far from being friendly
With fake French kissing fools fanning folks with phony money.
That ain't funny nor does it make me want to dance.
Goodie mob say it again when you get another chance
Just to enhance the feet.
People don’t dance no more, violence is on their list to see.
You see, this may be the longest rhyme I wrote
If you choose me, choose me?
Oh, I would like to be, but for free?
No that can’t be because I haven’t crossed the “T.”
I’m not rooted like the tree not even close to the.
I’m far from the, like the gulf of the sea
And only at B not even close to Z.
My boss, ten men and the world,
like the Boston Tea Party should toss me like tea.
I need to fall down on my knee
And beg to be God’s full time employee.
See being humble, cancels the violence in me
When I get in the Dome and focus on being free.
Become the captor and not the captive audience
Of freedom so you can violently believe.
