Long Lost Best Friend

I dream of you sometimes
Of your arms wrapped around me
A kiss on my forehead
The heat passing between our bodies

But then I wake up
And remember that I don't see you anymore
You're my best friend
But we never speak

'Cause I left you all those years ago
To go to a different school
A new place
A change of pace

But I never stopped to think of how it would affect you
Change us
I miss you
Do you miss me?

I hope one day to see you again
Until then I'll just dream of our best friend hugs
Hopefully you dream of them too
Until then just know that I miss you
