Long Sleeves

Long sleeves are made to hide my mistakes

To hide my pain

They’re always there in the back of my brain

In the summer in the spring

But they still sting

They ask and I must explain

But I've been trained

To lie

No matter how hard I try

They don't hide it all

But it's normal in the fall

It's easy till the questions keep coming

I know it will be never ending

Though it never leaves

Thank god for long sleeves
