The Long Walk

It keeps me up all night,

Tossing and turning in the silver moonlight,

With nowhere to go but this sandy beach,

All it craves is a little speech,

The knowledge that it holds is endless,

Yet the voice that it controls is madness,

I would never get caught without it,

And yet I will never leave home undoubted,

Yet on this beach I walk alone,

For it is the only thing that I can call home,

Here in the peaceful moonlight,

My mind can be just as bright.
