Long walk
I went on a long walk the other day
I saw many things on my way
There was a strange old man who jumped out at me
In my fear I hollered desperate plea
"please don't hurt me" I said
he said "I'm not you silly head"
He had leathery skin and his eyes were very green
well on second thought he didn't seem so mean
I got to know him after a while
as we walked along another mile
He had a wife who he had lost
He said it had taken a large cost
his health has been weak and his energy low
but seeing me he decided it was worth a go
he has missed a companion and I seemed free
so I opened my heart and I let it be
I would visit him often in my spare time
and he would say to me "you're a angel of mine"
I was just leaving from where I had been
when the coiners called and said a man had come in
They told me he had leathery skin and his eyes were very green
I went on a long walk one day and there was no man to be seen
