Longboard
The open road is beckoning
And your minutes tick away
Don’t leave me here to rust in peace
Carpe Diem! Seize the day!
I’ll fill your cup of cheer
And make you new again,
I’ll show you a world of wonder
Your loyal childhood friend
I’ll give you the gift of freedom,
I’ll give you a sense of liberty
When the world is bringing you down
I’ll let you ride on me
I’ll give your face the ashen glow
The spontaneity that you seek,
The fossilized memories of all rides past,
I can smooth out all life's kinks
Through the winding paths and neighborhoods
And through the twisting streets
We make each other whole again,
We set each other free.
