The Longest Day

This day seems to last forever,

It drags on like nothing before.

Change in this day is an endeavor,

But one change is all that is asked for.

There's not much to do in this day,

While movement feels like muscle memory.

Everything feels black, white, and grey.

"Yesterday" feels like it stretches a century.

This day feels so long you tend to forget,

And finally come to see with your eyes.

You've been inside your mind in such a fret,

There's more days crossed off than realized.
