Longing

You have always said to me

that people need to be set free.

I never knew what it all meant

until you left, left my soul bent.

Although I needed you more than ever

I realized sitting and waiting was not clever.

I was left longing for your touch

I needed you so much.

I've accepted that you're gone and of course I take the blame

It hurts more than you could know; things will never be the same.

youre the one thing I couldn't live without and now all I have is longing.
