Longing to Write

One decade tarnished with agitation and fear

A terrified child stares back in the mirror

Daddy's unconscious in the front yard

Crimson blood leaves my memory scarred

Desperate longing to write began after the rape

Expressing my thoughts is my way of escape

Melancholy flashbacks fracture my mind

An urgency to write so I can unwind
