The Longshoreman and The Traveller

Most everyone I met is on the shore

And it continually succeeds to bore

On the shore exists no frontier to further explore

Missing the abyss, never reaching more

Between the land and the sea lies the sands

Which is shore to leave a land of snails and shells

These sands, which butcher humanity’s hands

Leave a land of shells, where humanity is forever unwell

To afraid are we, of the vastness of the sea

Of the storms and waves which continue the rage;

Beyond the picturesque shore are mysteries at core

Within these waters live vicious creatures in the darkest depths

These creatures that destroy the possibility to ever take a breath

The vicious villains live in eternal winters night

Haunted and chilled by the ghosts of past

That live within the shell where we are continually harassed

Fear, Humiliation, Anxiety consumes in an eternal internal fight

Many, prefer to perish with the weight of past possessions

Instead of rising to surface to breathe in the present

We must refine the burdens of our contaminated obsession

Through the bivalves of the oysters thoughtful presence

Once you have refined and realized to sea your pure potential

Emerge from the abyss in undaunted courage

To stand on the land of faith and

Climb although you fear heights

For the traveller sees clarity atop the mountain

While the longshoreman and snails live in a land of fog
