Look

The platinum links of sushine,

Twisting underwater.

The rising bubble cry

Of a wrinkled newborn daughter.

The breeeze that tighens skin,

Inside a homemade sweater.

The first few drops of gin,

That bewilder and bring wonder.

The last six golden leaves,

On a gnarled autumn tree.

Before they kiss the barren earth, look!

These few small things are me.
