look
You wake up in the morning, you brush your teethe and groom yourself,
You look at yourself yawning, as you think about your day and how youre more then just a toy on a shelf.
You take moments through your day to reasure yourself that youre not going crazy
All you reall want to ever do is be lazy.
You see the people having conversations, laughing, and loving,
But youre just stuck in your mind crying for desperation, screaming, and dying.
The thing you desire most is to be left alone,
So you can go home and look in the mirror and remind yourself,
There is no home.
You stare into the black, lifeless void dreaming of everything you've ever done,
Your mind is like millions of chalk boards, screaming as nails drag across them one by one.
Your home isn't like other homes because you dont feel safe,
You just look in the mirror because you feel you'll never escape.
Your mind holds you hostage, it keeps you from feeling.
Any time your mind feels it wants to take a voyage,
Your anxiety grabs the reigns and begins peeling,
Peeling away the feelings of comfort and sanity,
And replace them with the feeling of the control of gravity.
So you sit there, continuously looking into that mirror, wandering why there's endless terror
It plucks away at every being of your mind and leaves it to rot, and for you to watch as it dies.
The feelings of lonliness overtakes you, the power of darkness is ruthless
As the never ending look into the mirror shakes the very being you are into something you deam worthless.
The power inside you is fading, all because of one long look into that mirror.
That mirror doesn't define you,
The anxiety, depression, waves of anger amd sorrow, never have defined you
They have become apart of you, they bring out what you said you don't want to be
They set your standards, that mirror makes you feel helpless and worthless and everything in between,
But you, you are a true survivor, the simple escence that you made it with no gaurds is truly pristine.
Look into that mirror and tell yourself you are not what it says you are, you are more than it could ever show.
Look a little deeper, stare a little longer, because a simple reflection is less than who you truly are,
The scars and tears you look at are merely just a symbol,
They represent what the better you is and you, are far less terrible.
So look in that mirror, look into it without fear
Realize you can bear whatever is thrown at you
You are a living example of what strength is
You are more powerful than any length could measure,
Just look into that mirror for yourself.
