Look up

I look up
With a heart heavy yet hopeful,
Seeking a sign,
A fragment of His vast design,
Whispering softly,
“My child,
Your journey has just begun.”

I look up
Through the storms I endure,
In the silent grace
Of His embrace,
Feeling the warmth
Of His love’s gentle trace,
Saying,
“My child,
You have found your place.”

I look up
And see the light,
A beacon piercing the night,
Guiding me right,
With His might,
My spirit takes flight,
Hearing,
“My child,
You are my delight.”

I look up
And discover strength,
At length,
To traverse the distance,
With unwavering persistence,
In His existence,
I hear,
“My child,
You have my assistance.”
