look alive, sunshine

Location

Why do people claim our world is falling apart? Well, maybe because it is.

We are raised on stories of courage, stories of triumph and hardships and yet when the time comes, we can't seem to find any of that in ourselves.

Our world has romantacized the darkness in it, the sadness we see that plagues other people, the violent delights and violent ends.

When it all gets too hard, we've been taught to give up.

We are not hero material, we can't handle everything that life throws at us. No, only special people can do that.

When reality begins suffocating me, the thing that I can do best is

laugh.

How childish, how simple.

No one has the same laugh, since it can reside anywhere in your body; your nose, your stomach, your throat.

Some can sound absolutely terrifying, others can be the most precious thing on the planet.

But what is the basis of laughter?

Smiling.

What I do, and you must always remember, is to keep laughing.

The world can't attack you with that grin upon your face.
