Look Around

I look around

Listening to the sounds

As my heart steadily pounds

Preparing to embark on a journey I wouldn't forget

Good bye to my parents

My anxiety is becoming more apparent

yet fear shall not be a deterrent

Its only moments till I fly away

The airplane lifts off

The engine makes its steady cough

I suddenly feel strong enough

to take on the world

Ten days later I return

filled with a fiery passion that burns

I'm ready to take on the world

I will never back down from adventure
