The look of Death
This troubled girl
Crying out to nothing in particular
A cramped space she calls a heart
Only beating once in a millennium
Cracked bones turned to dust
Sprinkling into her hollow eyes
Splintering as tears fall
Like big rain drops
Across her pale face
Break downs wrack the body
Of this human shell
Rocking it like a lifeless doll in the wind
Is she human? Really?
Is she even there?
Conjured up like a haunted dream
The grays turn to black
Into a deep void of life
Darkness, the embrace of nothing
But the feeder to harbored feelings
Pain, hurt, and grief
Death
The ultimate end of life
Death
The everlasting guarantee
Death
The light of warmth in this empty shell
The relief of a hard lived life
The relief of living
The last cry from badly broken lips
Let the bitterness of life
Come to a sweet, sweet end
Into the last stage
Until the last light wink out in
Death
So you see
She must be human
For in order to achieve
The sweet relief of death
You must first go through
Something much harder
Living
