Look Forward Not Backward

Look Forward Not Backward

Daddy went away

Mommy said that she would stay

Face so dead and joy all gone

Why be born to be alone?

So weak you crumble and fall

Does anybody even care at all?

And from the dark there came a hand

It pulls you close and makes you stand

They make you see and help you grow

The dark is gone and light is all you know

You look straight forward the day is new

Though sadness still lingers over you

But you are strong and can look on

You have a future to count upon
