Look at me

Proverbs 20:4 New English Translation (NET Bible)

4 The sluggard will not plow during the planting season,
so at harvest time he asks for grain but has nothing.

It is time to get to work

And put my hand to the plow

Well let me hire someone else

To do this work for me

Minimum wage or a little less

He will manage somehow

As long as I get the increase

And folks admire me

I’ll pick out the field today

I guess I’ll take my neighbor's

He ought to like what I’m doing

Since his place lies dormant

We will get along somehow

For I never do him favors

But today a new start will help

Unless someone sends an informant

It is always good to use someone’s possessions

That will keep my own intact for a rainy day

If I take little by little and I hope he won’t miss it

And I will get the glory while someone else will pay

“Love your neighbor as yourself”, see I’m a good example

I always think about him as much as self

I hope he understands as I always ramble

On his private property. See! I’m meaning well.
