LOOK AT ME NOW
LOOK AT ME NOW
This careless and cruel world
These dirty and evil creatures
They were there watching
Watching my mother go all the way
All the way down the grave
I saw their tears
I couldn’t tell
Look at me now
A fool to believe they felt the pain
I was too blind to see
Couldn’t see the intention behind the tears
Now they rejoice
Look at me now
With the treasure she left me with
It took me so deep
Deep in the pit of hell
Now I feel the coldness of the streets
Look at me now
All the kindness drained
I said…
Look at me now
I hurt others
Just to put a drop of honey in my stomach
Because …
No prayers or empty promises
Can satisfy an empty stomach
