Look My Way

Please…

Just look my way.

For a second,

A moment,

A wrinkle in time.

I wish you would

Look at me.

Look in my eyes.

See how sorry

I am?

Wait…

Don’t look at me.

I don’t want

To see the

Hurt I caused you.

Walk on by,

Like I don’t exist.

And what makes

It worse?

I deserve it,

I do.

Sorry…

I say as

I try to squeeze

By. You can’t

Hear that the

Apology,

Verbalized,

Means so much

More than

What you hear.

Please…

Just look my way.
