Look At Them

Look at that little boy Standing on the corner Hustling the streets From dusk til dawn Because he needs food to eat He needs clothes and shoes on his feet His momma cannot raise him alone But what about you leaders In the schools and the church? Are you reaching out To the orphans who are hurt? Or the widows out of work? Or will you leave them in the dirt? Be like Jesus and reach out first! Pay attention. Give him direction. Don't judge! Just show affection. Look at that little girl Standing over there: She's no sense of security-- She's living in fear; She's covered in spiritual Scabs and scars; She tries to cover up With the makeup and the bottles at the bar. She just wants to be, Yes, she longs to be The centerfold; She tries to fill The void in her soul Created by a father Who doesn't even bother. All she needs Is just one person In the body of Christ To come and change her life By showing her the light That comes with the love Of her heavenly Father. Pay attention. Give her direction. Don't judge! Just show affection. Look at our people Perishing Because they're lacking knowledge Living in sin. Steady thinking nothing good Comes from the ghetto; If only they knew The Father wants to lift them Higher than falsetto! He just wants to see, Yes, He longs to see His people rise! He wants His light To enter their eyes, And set their hearts on fire! All He needs is just one person In the body of Christ To come and change their lives By showing them the light That comes with the love Of a heavenly Father. Pay attention. Give them direction. Don't judge! Just show affection. And as you look at them, Look to God And you will find yourself. Now
