Looking Up

Looking up, it can be seen

An endless economy

Our closest neighbors offering a cup of sugar

Gold, platinum, water

A short walk across the street

An age when we take the pressure off our mother earth

Looking up, it can be seen

An abundance of carbon, nitrogen, methane

The fundamentals for complexity

The building blocks for intelligence

The necessities for life

Looking up, it can be seen

The endless space that reveals billions of years

The pinpoint lights of the universes history

A universe that we also live in

A universe to help understand who, what, when, where, and why we are

Looking up, it can be seen

As a way to look back down

A pale blue dot in an ocean of black

Slowly glowing shades of fire

Humanity burning into and ice age

I dream of seeing more

I dream of a world looking up
