Looking at you

I look at you and I see everything we went through, I look at you and see the laughs, the smiles, the hugs, the cuddles, the I love yous, and everything in between. But when I look at you for too long, I see a person, I never thought you would become. Hurting me is something you said you would never do, but this new you hurts me like you promised you never would. But when I look at you, all I see is the person I loved. My love for you is so deep it looks past every bruise you laid on my heart. I love you and deep down, I know you love me too. The new you, however, is someone I never knew. So I'll sit here and watch the person I knew disappear into this new version of you. But I will still hold my promises to be true, because I mean it when I say, I will always love you.
