Recalling those days
So bittersweet
Are the thoughts
Memories brought back
Not too long forgotten
When our heads
Were in the clouds
And we spoke
Before we thought
Giving monkey see
Monkey do
It's oh-so-relevent name
Yes I'll braid my Barbie's hair
This way
With a familiar
Me too
That always followed
Here hold my hand
Don't cross by yourself
Endless nights spent
Above one another
Talking
Impulsive laughter
And stuffed animal fights
Spilled secrets
Like the white soda
Left untouched on the hardwood floor
Never to be spoken of
Here
We can hide in this closet
We'll win this round for sure
Let me come with you
We'll share the backseat
Look how big my bubble is
Let me try too
The ball rolled into the backyard
I'm not scared
Come with me?
This tree is too tall
Lift me up?
I hate you
But let five minutes pass
Pour your milk in my glass
When I'm not watching
So mom makes me sit and
Finish every drop
Oh Ms. Madam Wezel
I don't want to be
Your ballerina yet
Tag
I have no choice
Sneak out with your friends
Don't worry
I'll wait up for mom to wake
Go
Though it's true we have
No traveling pants
It's been
Monkey see monkey do
I'm here for you always
Just as you are for me
Yes Katie Lynn
I love you.
