Looking back
We were young impressionable yet jaded
Running away from the world
Escaping everything we hated
We ran far but we didn't run free
Tangled in each other's arms
Life crept up on us
The world we tired to avoid
The people we didn't want to be
The years have passed since then
I look back at the old you and me
Living so careless so reckless
At least we were never heartless
