Looking Down

Blame it on the other car, they should have seen me it’s called being a careful driver.

Blame it on the sender they should have known I’m with them right now,

I’d look away for a moment; it’s a car you should see it driving towards you

That kid should be thankful, I put my life down for you, I saved you…

You can graduate, you can have a family, and you get to drive.

Don’t make my mistake, don’t just live, but thrive,

You may be like me watching for the rest of eternity

Mom, Dad please don’t cry, please don’t lie for me

I should’ve scanned, I should have ignored,

My phone should’ve been silent.

The kid and his ball

The kid ran for it.

I hit the tree,

I saved him

And died.
