Looking Forward

When I was born, my eyes were closed,

And as I grew, the opened wider.

I saw more of what life was,

And what it wasn't.

I am three,

And I am happy.

All is well,

And there is love to share.

I am five,

And I am torn,

Between two parents,

That both want 100% of me.

I am eight,

And my dad is gone.

He doesnt write and he doesnt call,

But I suppose my new one,

Is alright.

I am twelve,

And my dad is back,

But the love isn't there.

He never says where he went,

And I dont ask,

So that is that.

I am sixteen,

But it feels like I'm back at five,

Because I'm once again split between to people,

And two places where I feel I dont belong.

I am twenty,

And maybe I've moved on,

But maybe not.

Because no one can ever know,

What happens after you reach your low.
