Looking For Freedom
Chains of the world wrapped around the neck of an infant, crying out for sweet liberty
Screams in the night, his world up in smoke
Fire in his veins and vengeance in his eyes, a man much to early become is he
He tried to tell them all no one listened when he spoke
No one to hear him, no one to listen
Turned out into the cold, this world full of sin
His knowledge made him hard, all this before the age of ten
Too tough on these streets for one so young, too hard to win
Growing up tough, demons pulling at him from every side
He tried to stay right but it was too hard to hide
Crimson smoke swirls in the gutter as people walk by
As the life leaves his eyes, the world finally sees him
But it’s too little too late, looking for freedom
