Looking To the Future

Love is looking ahead.

But patient.

Love is energy, a burning flame.

But kind.

Love sees ability in others.

But doesn't envy.

Love is sharing your accomplishments,

but not boasting.

Love is going through life hand in hand,

but not forgetting others.

Love is how they make you feel,

but it is not self seeking.

Love commmunicates hard things when needed,

but is not easily angered.

Love is pushing them to grow,

but does not keep a record of wrongs.

Love is when the little things matter,

but it goes to any lengths regardless.

"Beacuse I love you" is buying midnight hashbrowns,

late nights and early mornings, stolen moments in

busy lives, a thoughtful text of support.

"Because I love you" is you, me, and a cup of cocoa

on cold snowy nights.
