The Looking Glass

Bring me the looking glass, Enlist its persuasion, Audacious and cruel minion, Under the spell you cast. Tears stain my eyes, Yearning to look away, I'm ashamed of the display, Serenity shattered by the lies. Only truth can save me now, Next to impossible to attain, Left to suffer in your games, You left me lost and not found. Someday I'll figure it out, Kindness might be able to mend, In brutality you find a friend, Never minding the shouts. Deadly is your voice, Enchanting me with words, Evermore I will ignore, Perhaps it will finally be my choice.
