looking glass

I look out of the window and see a little girl.

She looks nothing like a girl I have ever seen before.

She has no face but I can feel she's staring at me.

I go down in the snow to meet this girl.

She runs and I can not catch up to her.

I realize I have seen the jacket she is wearing before.

It belonged to me many years ago.

Those years when I was happy.

I notice that this little girl is the inner me.

But why is she faceless? Why am I faceless?

It's because I have not been living the true life of what is meant for me.

This little girl has now made me strive for what I am today.

I just needed to realize the little girl was me.

So every now and then I will look out of the window.

The window that changed my life forever....
