The Looking Glass of Me

We are who we are,

I am who I am,

But how is I described?

Is I to me,

Me to them?

Is who they see me,

Who I really will be?

Maybe who I desire to be,

Is what I want thought of me.

I that how I am defined?

Through that looking glass?

-Based on the Looking Glass Theory, by Charles Horton Cooley
