Looking for Love

Yes I am very young,
and the feeling I get scare me.
But before, I was never looking for it.
Now I am.

When I actually first found a love,
that even on the best nights,
I couldn't dream of.
I knew it was true.

Not because times were always good,
but because I still wanted it,
even when times were bad.
I wanted him through it all.

For many reasons though,
that all had to come to an end.
And now, yes, I am in search.
Of a love that can make me forget the last.

Some say I am looking in the wrong places.
Others say just let it come to you.
But none know what I feel in my heart.
The joy or pain or love or hate.

Maybe I need someone.
Maybe I want someone.
To take the pain away.
To make me forget.
