LOOKING FROM THE VIEW OF AN OBJECT

PENNY  POEM
                                       By Ricardo Florestal

I’m a penny, I still can’t believe they make so many.

In my time, I was a prime, now I don’t even worth a dime.

People loved me, people killed other people for me, and people even stole me.

Before the dollar bills, “I was 20 bills!” That’s why on the back of me, on top of                               the building says “one cent.” You know why?

I was number one, now I’m just a dirty useless bum. “Humans sold out!”

I think they are seduced, I been abused. I said to myself while on the side walk.

“I was the best, I only wish this was a test, maybe I can give it a rest.” And old man   picks me up.

In my head, I already knew I’m going into something for donation. Someone might is well give me a premonition.

After it I knew I’m going to end back on the street, where all the bums eat. The old man took me to his house. “I’m on the desk!”

He picked me back up, and washed me with ketchup.

I was so confused, but after it was done, I was assumed.

I’m so shiny, “honestly,” it felt like I was in a new reality.

“I feel right, I’m light!” “I can’t believe, its’ me!” I was wrong. “What’s going on?”

He put me in a jar with other shiny pennies. How do you stay optimistic look at that penny she is beautiful and majestic.

In my head a shout saying, “bingo, and I’m single, I need to mingle or is it tangle!”

It’s too much mess, I need a rest, on some other time I’ll tell you the rest.
