The Loom

As I to venture on, resume,
a thin new thread, spun gossamer.
Colored twine ties all of mine
wants and fears upon the Loom.

As I to venture on, resume,
Thinly drawn, pulled time taught to tomb
This colored twine ties all of mine,
its run soon ceasing on the Loom.

As I to venture on, resume,
a fraying thread, spun thin.
Twixt old strands who in time slip their ragged ends.
After loyal lifetimes their length of line betray the knot,
It is of course the course of things but sadness in a thought
They, perhaps, before untied, were lives of memories or dreams forgot.
