Loose Ties: A Poem by Emma Rill

Knots in our thread, Tied too loose. One tug and this web is maliciously spread. Two souls sewn by the past. Three years, patience with purpose. Four hands, our future is held. Five stitches weave our hearts. Six seconds, unraveled, that’s all it takes. Loose ties turned, a crooked old line. You try to deny, The fatal moment when we both died inside.
