The Lord Is My Musician

The Lord is my musician,

And I am His guitar;

He sits there to listen,

To what my songs are.

My strings are too loose or too tight,

As I try to be a magnificent rock guitar;

My strings shiver in fright,

For my tune has wandered so far.

Come, O Lord;

Be my tuner;

Please fix my chord;

I wish I would’ve realized I needed you sooner.

Come place Your fingers on my neck,

As you play a song that glorifies Yo;

I am at Your call and beck,

Because only Your songs are true.

The Lord is my musician,

And I am His guitar;

He sits there to listen,

Cause I am His star.
