"Losing Freedom"

I was drugged by men and women, whose pride and authority prevailed Manipulated by their words, Convulsed in their tellings of history that proves of my ignorance, and lack of worth Withholding my imagination, from a realm that wouldn’t dare judge me Forcing me to see their views as the only views on earth that are meaningful; Disallowing me to conduct my own beliefs, and speak my mind in matters needed of different views Pretending to do deeds for the “people”, but instead, stripping us “people” from our need to speak freely Hinging change in areas most necessary, prohibiting acts felt harmful On the contrary, prohibition and hingence has made less effect on my mindset, but more effect on my actions I seek freedom from those who’ve greed control from a nation once declared free’d So I wrote And I still write To portray amongst a peoples the truth that they can’t find, The truth that has been hiding away in the shrines of those who covered my mouth, of those who deprived me of a way to communicate and to speak, of those who aim to stop me and shut me up by bringing me down, This is why I write.
