Losing Friends After Moving

Never wanting to leave,

I always did believe.

I wouldn't be forgotten by the ones I love the most.

For now I'll be in the Florida sun to roast.

One day I did return to the city,

Things appeared a bit more gritty.

Every one went their separate ways,

It's like my middle school friends we're just a phase...

My favorite part of the poem was when I told readers that returning to the city, my beliefs of having the same friends wasn't true.

This poem represents what I felt when I had moved to Florida after the 8th grade. I always believed my friends and I would stay in touch but it appeared everyone separated.
