Losing Myself

Heart Palpitating 

One second I am on top of the world 

The next I am falling down on a whirlwind of emotions 

I feel lost and I do not understand 

My life is perfect, I have the grades and a good family 

I am going crazy like I am walking on shattered glass 

People stare and assume that oh she is just a pity 

My brain and heart do not seem to connect with one another 

After awhile I calm down but then it starts up again 

My family just seems to ignore it 

They just look and do not say anything for fear it may damage me 

They see me as broken glass trying to pick up the pieces and pretend I am ok 

I no longer know who I am
