Losing You

Never did I ever fear,

that one day you would not be here.

The doctor said you had cancer.

When asked, he had no answer.

My biggest fear was losing you.

A week at Sloan,

I felt alone.

Poor dad did not know what to do.

I knew I had to be the one.

Staying stong would not be fun.

Time has healed all my fears.

Mom is still here!
