losing you

i lost a little more of you today

there must be a wormhole in the bathroom

because when you walked out

you couldn't remember who i was

i showed you the television

where we had just been watching one of your favorite shows

i gestured to the couch where you were sitting only a few mintues ago

i begged,

pleaded,

cried,

but nothing brought back the glint of recognition in your eyes
