Loss

I lost my best friend
Through depression
And through abuse.
She slowly drifted away.
The pills consumed her
As she consumed them.
She bottled up her pain
Until she couldn’t anymore.
There were blades,
There was blood,
And there were cuts.
Slowly but surely,
She lost her mind
And vanished.
