Loss

Loss

Suffocating each moment lived,

strangling every movement made,

An invasive thought lingers,

shrouding the light of accomplishments.

Endless nights, endless thoughts.

Questions clouding all vision. Obscurity.

Thoughts flying, spinning in the darkness of my room,

Stealing breath with each blink of my eyes.

A bottomless hole in my stomach.

An unmendable crater in my heart.

This monster has consumed so much,

But only as much as I feed it.

Loss.

It is strong. But I am stronger.

I am an athlete, an artist, a poet and an advocate. I believe in setting goals and working as hard as possible to achieve them. I am resilient, dedicated and love helping others. My dad passed away suddenly and I am determined to help find a cure for diabetes which stole his life. I am also fun and friendly and love to socialize.
