1 Peter 3:16

16 Yet do it with courtesy and respect, keeping a good conscience, so that those who slander your good conduct in Christ may be put to shame when they accuse you.

Loss of faith

A good conscience and great faith cannot be separated

When conscience is offended than faith will be getting weaker

Maybe in the span of things and through careless ignorance

Our faith will be sacrificed and that makes our future bleaker

Men surely can defame us, but mostly we don’t need help

Why wait for some other to do what we can do better ourselves

Compromise, that blasted thing, that eats at our good conduct

Until it is fulfilled and visible and burns deeply below the shell
